Disability Lead’s network continues to lead in the face of an ever-changing world that threatens human rights daily. At the heart of our work, we ensure there are strong disability perspectives in leadership spaces because we believe that our leaders will change the world. By connecting our leaders to civic engagement opportunities, we believe our leaders can and will create solutions for our most intractable social problems because they are inherently disability issues. We want to celebrate our members’ successes and elevate their achievements. We will be sharing quarterly updates moving forward.
In 2022, Disability Lead has identified and made connections to over 150 opportunities for our Members with over 50 successful connections. Some highlights include:
· Kathleen Dillon Narko joined the board of Aspire Chicago

· Emily Blum was named a Leader for New Chicago by Field and MacArthur Foundations
· Randy Colón was appointed to the State of Illinois Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council
