Parul Arora received a BS in Family Community Services from MSU in 2003 and then worked in social services to assist people with disabilities to gain employment. She later entered an accelerated nursing program at UIC. After becoming an RN in 2011, she worked on a project centered on health promotion and has even facilitated Diabetes Prevention Workshops for educators, social workers, and nurses. Parul also has experience working in the mental health sector as she worked for a community nonprofit while finishing Nurse Practitioner training in 2017. Parul later joined the Rush University Palliative Medicine team in 2018 for 1.5 years and has since transitioned into a nurse practitioner role.
