
Amy Houtrow, MD, PhD, MPH is a disabled pediatric rehabilitation medicine physician, health services researcher and educator at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Her work focuses on access to care and optimizing health services and outcomes for children with disabilities. She was named the world’s leading researcher in disabled children in 2023 by ExpertScape. She is the Program Director for the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Related Disorders (LEND) program at the University of Pittsburgh, an interdisciplinary leadership training program funded by HRSA. She serves on numerous national boards, councils and advisory committees.
